SHOOTOUT

August 2003

Tony & Kim Jackson went back to the Lake of the Ozarks again this year for the Shootout held each year. Just about any type of boat you can think of made runs down the course, every one gunning for the top speed of their class. Here are some of the pictures they took.

The fun is based at Shooters 21

Couple of big cats making some noise!

As I said, there's a class for cats, performance vees, even your lake cruisers!

Well, besides the 200 mph runs, the other spectacular run was this HTM.

Tony heard speed numbers from 103 to 130+ mph when this boat took flight Saturday!

The driver was OK except for a few aches and pains, he was back at the race the next day.

The Callan turbine powered boat broke the 200 mph mark, hitting an official 205 mph.

Tony said the boat ran a 209 but it was not allowed for some reason.

The Bacardi Silver boat, powered by a pair of Sterling engines.
