Patrick Jones recently picked up his first new boat. After years of borrowing his fathers ski boat, he made the big step into the world of custom boats. While many considered Patrick the unofficial cheerleader for Howard Boats, he shocked everybody when he announced signing the deal on a Dave's Custom Boats 26' cat.
Patrick had narrowed the boat search down to three different boats. An Ultra Shadow, a Howard cat and the DCB. After much deliberation, he was sold on the DCB and a deal was struck.
The motivation is provided by a Mercruiser 496 HO, a Bravo 1X drive and full hydraulic steering. A custom Boat Bling engine cover sits on top of the 496 cube mill.
Custom seat bases hold the front passenger seats in the proper position. The stereo is composed of an Alpine 9855 CD head unit with XM and IPOD. The tunes are sent out using 2 JL Audio 12w3's powered by a JL Audio 500. A JL Audio 6450 amp powers 3 pairs of Focal Polyglass 6.5" coaxials with crossovers. The DCB faceplate adds the final bling!
The graphics were designed by Russ Venegas of www.rareconcepts.com Monster Livorsi gauges monitor engine vitals, including a gps speedo.
One nice touch is the foot washer mounted on one of the front sponsons. Just the thing to wash the hoofs of the uninformed boat guest who might be stomping across you nice new gelcoat with his sand covered feet!
The boat sits on a custom triple axle trailer. Extreme shortened the
fenders 12" to run lower profile 225-55 tires on new Extreme 17" wheels. The
boat and trailer are pulled with a 2006 Chevy Silverado Duramax LBZ.
