Utah resident Troy Dial has owned his Advantage Sport Cat for a few years. Troy bought the boat after selling his 21' Baja. The Baja was a capable runner equipped with a B&M 144 blown smallblock Chevy. Wanting a few more mph like the rest of us, he decided to buy a tunnel hull! After some searching he found a 22' Sportcat that didn't have a motor or drive.
Troy put together another healthy little Chevy. For some reason though this motor never reached Troy's expectations and after a season or two, he decided to inject some cubic inches. Searching the local ads he found a Crusader jetboat equipped with a 454. Cash was exchanged and Troy towed the boat home and yanked the rat. As I write this, the blown big block is still under construction. More pic's will be posted as progress continues!
Awe, little smallblock, we hardly knew you :(
Couple of pictures taken at Lake Powell.

The jetboat that donated the big block Chevy. Troy's not certain what he'll do with the boat at this point. He does have a smallblock sitting around........

Another toy, Troy's tow vehicle is a 99 F-250 Lariat Crew Cab powered by a
6.8L V-10. The truck also has a 6" Pro-comp Lift with 36/16.50x 16.5 Dick Cepek
Fun Country's on 12x16.5 Mickey Thompson Wheels.
Come on Troy, get that big block done so I can add some more info!
Well Troy finally sent me a few pictures of the new supercharged 454!
March 2004, after doing some modifications to the trailer, Troy got the boat back on the bunks. The motor was than lifted and placed back between the stringers. Hopefully it won't be long now before the Sportcat roars back to life!
