1971 Buick convertible equipped with a 455. Motor was stock except for a mild cam. Still ran through the stock manifolds and intake. He was running some low tire spinning 14 second times. He had to be careful as the NHRA rules require a rollbar for convertibles running quicker than 14.00.
A low mileage1970 Trans Am. The 70 model had no emblems on the scoop and was equipped with a Ram Air III 400 motor. The 70 model also had short seat backs and square head rests.

Another low mileage musclecar. An unrestored SS 396 Camaro. Some of the options on the car were a 396/325 horse motor, Turbo 400 trans, console with clock, power disc brakes, power steering, power windows, fold down rear seat, and the original deluxe houndstooth interior
This W-30 Olds 442 was turning 12.14, 12.09 and 12.08 through the mufflers and on D.O.T street drag tires. The motor had aluminum heads while under the hood still had the red plastic inner fenders.
How's this for an early musclecar? A 1936 Buick that was equipped with a 320 cubic inch straight 8! The motor was equipped with two 2 barrel carbs and a set of headers. The tranny was a manual box. This car was running on street tires and turning low 13 second times. Unfortunately, the only two Buicks on the track that day ended up running each other in the opening round of eliminations.
As a side note, the owner of this car said he had one of the two existing Buick 455 blocks that came from the factory with 4-bolt main caps. These were apparently an engineering exercise Buick engineers had worked on in the early 70's.
