Well, winter of 2004 Charlie decided to step up to a larger Daytona. The 25 was sold to another Phoenix boater and this 28 foot model was purchased. It is equipped with a pair of stock (for now!) 454 Magnums. We'll get some more pictures up shortly.
This is Charlie Brown's 2000 25' Eliminator Daytona. 2004 is the second season that Charlie has owned this boat. While with a casual glance, you could confuse it with Donnie Henson's Daytona, there are two subtle differences. One is the color of the stripe that runs the length of the gunwale, the other is the choice of compressor that supplies the 502 big block Chevy with boost. Charlie's boat is equipped with one of Accessible Technologies Incorporated's Procharger centrifugal supercharger.
Here's the heart of the boat. A Mercruiser 502 Magnum equipped with electronic fuel injection. The Procharger has been added to increase power. Charlie's still dialing the combination in utilizing his laptop computer. The heads were recently converted to screw-in studs, better valves and Lunati roller rockers.
Being the normal gear head, this Daytona isn't Charlie's only project, past or present.
Here's the L-88 that was in his 18' Aquacraft V-drive
Here's an interesting street rod. A Dodge Charlie's Great Grandfather bought new in 1927! Over the years it was converted to it's current state. That's Charlie on the left and his brother on the right.
Charlie's hotrod pick up. I'll get some more pictures of this!
