March 19/20 2004

OK, this the boating season has officially begun at lake Pleasant!  We went out Saturday and Sunday. Saturday Tonna and I took Wendy with us. Donnie brought his Daytona. We met up with Tony & Kim and their Baja plus Mike & Marla still breaking in their new 35 Motion Cat. We ended up meeting a couple back in Humbug, Russ & Stephanie and had them tie up with us. Their Powerqwest sported a pair of Procharged smallblocks, good for a reported 90+ mph! We also met up with a boater we met last season who had a Daytona that looked like Donnie's. This boater, Charlie Brown, (yeah, easy to remember, as he said!) has dialed his motor in finally. He has a 502 Mag with a Procharger. The only downside of the day was when Donnie blew up his XZ drive on the way home Saturday afternoon :(

Twisted prop shaft and busted upper gears, but two hard seasons with an XZ drive getting 890 horsepower pushed to it, you can't be too unhappy. Hopefully Donnie won't be down as long as I was when I broke my drive!

Sunday we took two of Tonnas friends with us, Nichole & Gail. We hooked back up with Russ & Stephanie in Humbug. Man, was that place packed! They had met another couple, Paul and Lori, the previous night at the marina bar and they were  hanging with us as well.
